Embodied Mindfulness Meditation

Module 10: Episode 3 - Door to the heart

with Dina Asher Kusnir

This meditation explores gratitude not merely as an emotion, but as an energetic fieldthat surrounds and protects the heart—a living membrane that allows the heart's deeper essence to open and radiate outward.

Key teachings:

  • Gratitude is a doorway. It is one of the final layers protecting the divine spark hidden within us—the pure, unconditional, golden light at the center of our being.

  • The hidden light. Many traditions tell the story of a radiant light hidden inside humanity, placed there because "they will never look for it there." Gratitude helps us approach this hidden treasure.

  • The sound "Ah." In Hebrew, "Ah" begins the word for love (Ahava). The exhale of Ahis the heart beginning to open—not through effort, but through trust and release.

  • The breath as practice. Inhale with gratitude for life returning. Pause at the top of the breath. Exhale with the sound Ah. Each cycle gathers, holds, and spreads the heart's light.

  • The 360-degree field. As we practice, the heart's energy expands in all directions—a field of protection made not from fear, but from love. We can send this light through our room, into the world, to all beings.

  • In the giving, we are protected. The light is not ours to own—it is ours to circulate. What we spread is what we return to.
