Module 13: Episode 8 - Throat Center meditation

Dina Asher Kusnir

The practice invites you to notice how sound regulates the nervous system, how words affect the body, and how loving speech can open the throat. It also offers a tender way to speak inwardly to those who are no longer here, releasing unsaid words into the spacious blue sky of awareness.

We begin with feet on the Earth, bending the knees, lifting the arms, breathing in, and exhaling with sound. The vocalized exhale informs the nervous system that it is safe.

Ha.

Oh.

Ah.

Oo.

Ee.

Mmm.

The throat is the bridge between what we feel and what we offer to the world. When the throat is closed, the heart may still be full, but its truth cannot move freely. Through sound, breath, loving speech, and the release of unspoken words, we begin to heal the voice we swallowed.
